Q. Do I have to join Vacations and Travel to use their exchange and travel services?

A. No. Unlike RCI and Interval International, there are no mandatory membership fees to trade through Vacations and Travel.

Q. Can I be a current member of RCI or Interval International and still trade through Vacations and Travel?

A. Yes. Please call Vacations and Travel so we may learn more about your specific situation and how best to help you.

Q. Where can I trade to with Vacations and Travel?

A. There are hundreds of resort destinations worldwide to choose from, though we specialize in the Western United States, Hawaii, Mexico, Florida and Canada. Check out our Resort Directory.

Q. Can I deposit my week with Vacations and Travel and save it for a later trade?

A. Yes. Your deposited week is valid for a future exchange up to 2 years from the actual use week. There is no fee required to deposit a week, and you will not be charged an exchange fee until you've been confirmed on your exchange request.

Q. How far in advance can I deposit my week?

A. Depending on your resort, you can typically deposit a week up to 2 years in advance (though some resorts only allow 1 year). The further in advance you deposit your week, the greater priority you gain when requesting and confirming an exchange.

Q. Will Vacations and Travel accept a late deposit?

A. That depends on many things, typically we require 60 days advance notice from the start date of your week to guarantee a successful deposit. If your week is less than 60 days out, please give us a call.

Q. How do I make a trade with Vacations and Travel?

A. It's easy! Tell us what you are giving up and what you'd like to trade into. You will not be charged an exchange fee until your request has been confirmed. The further in advance you are able to place your request greatly enhances your confirmation chances.

Q. Can I request a trade into a larger unit or higher demand season than what I own?

A. Yes, but remember, trading is based on like value. If you give up a unit that sleeps 4 in low season, that is what you are entitled to. Vacations and Travel allows owners the flexibility of trading into a larger unit or higher demand season by paying an upgrade fee.

Q. Can Vacations and Travel rent my timeshare week for me?

A. No. Please check with you resort H.O.A. to see if they offer their own rental services.

Q. Can Vacations and Travel sell my unit?

A. No. Please contact your home resort to inquire on their resale services.
